Bible Teaching For Kids: Babies-Twos
The Big Idea: God loves me.
The Bible Story: “Jacob’s Trip” (Genesis 28:10-22)
Connecting Points this week:
As you play or drive in the car, sing with your child (tune “God Is So Good”): “Yes, God loves me. Yes, God loves me. Yes, God loves me. And He cares for me.” (Substitute your child’s name for me.)
Take a “trip” around your neighborhood with your child. Push him in his stroller or hold his hand while you walk together. Talk about Jacob as you walk.

Bible Teaching For Kids: Threes-Kindergarten
The Big Idea: God is with me wherever I go.
The Bible Story: God Cared for Jacob (Genesis 28:10-22)
Connecting Points this week:
List all the places you go. List places you may go this summer on vacation. Say the Bible verse together as you think about all the places you go.
Find a small rock outside your house (or another location). Help your child clean the rock.Help your child decide where to place the rock to remind him (and you) that God is always with you.
Relate the rock to the one in the Bible story that Jacob set up as a reminder. Talk about the Bible story.

Bible Teaching For Kids: 1-5 Grade
The Big Idea: Pray for Others
The Bible Story: The Church Prayed for Peter (Acts 12:5-19)
Connecting Points this week:
• Help your children know that prayer is just not about themselves, but God intends them to pray for others too.
• Review the Bible story in Acts 12 and remind kids that God heard the prayers of the church for Peter and answered them.
• As a family make a list on paper or poster board of families or individuals you know that need God’s intervention.
• Pray for each name on your list and ask each child and adult to commit to pray for at least one name and need each day this week.
